The Grillo FD 500 is a compact, hydrostatic 2-wheel drive tractor with a tight 32 cm turning radius, making it ideal for gardens with plants, furniture, and tight spaces. Its 113 cm front cutting deck and 190 cm high-discharge grass collection container provide efficient mowing and collection.

Designed for high manoeuvrability, it has a pivoting rear axle and independent front deck frame, ensuring quality cuts on uneven ground. Large wheels and a lightweight structure minimize lawn damage, even when fully loaded. The pedal-operated differential lock enhances traction on slopes, while the 22-liter fuel tank allows extended operation with low fuel consumption.

DESCRIPTION

The Grillo FD 500 features a 113 cm front cutting deck designed for manoeuvring around edges, plants, and under low branches. With three blades (two counter-rotating and one central), it achieves high-quality cuts with minimal noise, requiring no special belts. The rounded deck profile ensures smooth grass collection, even in wet conditions, and the cutting height adjusts from 2.5 to 9 cm via an electric dashboard control.

Built to follow ground contours, the FD 500’s floating deck includes anti-puncture and anti-scalp wheels. The deck can convert to mulching with an optional kit and tilts easily for maintenance without needing tools. Its 700 L grass catcher offers hydraulic lift and tilt, with a 190 cm discharge height and a sensor that halts mowing when full.

Powered by an 18 HP Kubota diesel engine, the FD 500 meets EC and EPA standards, offering hydrostatic transmission with lockable differential. Comfort-focused, the driver’s seat is adjustable, and hydrostatic steering ensures easy handling. The engine features a self-cleaning radiator with a reversible fan to clear debris, and key components, like filters and battery, are accessible for maintenance. The foldable roll bar, standard on the FD 500, is ISO 21299 certified.
